OJAB team has organized an open Erasmus day for local people in Vienna, Austria where they have presented also the opportunities that project Volunteers 4 ALL provides to youth workers, leaders and especially the once working with refugees . They have focused the created e-learning modules under the project :
I.Digital and social skills need for youth workers /volunteers in their work with refugees
II. How NGOs can use digital tools and social media in refugee work?
III. How refugees use social media and digital tools during their journey to Europe?
IV. Successful strategies of NGOs for inclusion of refugees in society.
They have stated at the participants in the event that “the e-learning courses are providing youth workers and volunteers new skills and knowledge on use of social media networks for providing a lifeline for refugees on their journeys to Europe. By taking the free e-courses the youth workers will get a better grasp of the surveillance and empowerment paradox in social media networks in order to identify how best and at which points to help the most vulnerable refugees.”
The event was held in BPI office on 12 of October 2018.
